Goalpost Language App for Mobile, Tablet and Desktop

GDPR Compliance

What about data protection?

Like many apps, Goalpost stores a small amount of information on our database. This is so we can identify you and send your purchased language lessons to your gadgets.

We do not store any sensitive information like the bank card details used to purchase modules. These details are handled by the payment processing company and not passed on to us.

GDPR regulations oblige us to tell a customer of the data we have stored about them. This is as follows:

* Your email address, so we can communicate with you about your purchases or about app updates. To protect your privacy, your email address is encrypted on our database so it is not human-readable.

* Device Codes. These are meaningless random numbers that help us deliver content securely to your devices.

* Your country of residence, so we can deliver appropriate content.

* The language modules you have purchased, so we can correctly set up any new devices on which you decide to install the app.

* Your stated name or pseudonym, encrypted on our database so it is not human-readable.

* Your stated gender, for languages where the adjectives describing you need to be linguistically correct.

* Your approximate age range, so we can deliver appropriate content.

* Whether you ticked the option at registration to receive advertisements

WE DO NOT PROVIDE THE ABOVE INFORMATION TO ANY THIRD-PARTIES.

In line with data protection regulations, we can provide on request (use the Contact button at the foot of the page) a full list of the specific data we hold on you, as our customer. Similarly, we can erase or change data connected with yourself, on request. If you make a request, we will first confirm with you at your registered email address that the request is genuinely from yourself.
